  • Principal Applicants that have studied in Canada and have completed at least two years of post-secondary education in Canada since the age of 17 get 20 points. This information can be verified from the CIC website.
  • Do you know, besides qualifying for 20 points for having a two year diploma, you will also get 10 extra points by simply having studied two or more years in Canada.

Skilled Workers Program - 33 Categories are now available

Graduates can apply for immigration under skilled workers programs (more than 33 categories are now available) – this is first a work permit but then entitles them to process their immigrant status while working in Canada. Some of these programs are covered on the LMO (Labour Market Opinion) and the new eLMO program from Canadian Immigration and the Provincial governments of British Columbia and Alberta. Any one between 21 and 40, with having a minimum two year diploma from a Canadian Post-Secondary Institution (College or University) in Business or Information Technology, Applied Science or Engineering or Hospitality may qualify under this program.

At Royal Canadian Institute of Technology we also assist our graduates with job placement assistance.

Remember that there are 10 points for Arranged employment in Canada.
