Program Description:

The Networking Certificate is designed to provide students with basic skills in network design, installation, administration and troubleshooting. The coursework helps prepare students for industry network certifications. Emphasis is on practical, hands-on lab work.

Coursework also provides the information necessary for Comp TIA Network+ certification and either Novell certification or Microsoft certification.

Program Objectives:

  • To provide graduates a thorough grounding in networking standards, wireless standards, routing and switching concepts and other fundamental areas.
  • To give graduates familiarity with TCP/IP.
  • To equip graduates with expertise in planning, configuring and troubleshooting Internetworks.
  • To give graduates an up-to-date understanding of network security practices.
  • To provide graduates with the knowledge that will help prepare them for the Security+ certification exam.
